Location: Taylor, TX / Austin, TX Area

Job Type: Full-Time, W-2

Pay: $22.00 per hour


About the Position

Smart IT Solution is looking for a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Low Voltage Technician to join our field team.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in starting or developing a career in the low-voltage, electrical, or security systems industry. Prior low-voltage experience is not required. Candidates with construction, electrical, low-voltage, or structured cabling experience are preferred.

You will work alongside experienced technicians on commercial construction projects involving CCTV, access control, network cabling, and other low-voltage systems.


Responsibilities
  • Pull and route low-voltage cables
  • Assist with installation of CCTV cameras, access control devices, and network cabling
  • Install and support cable pathways including J-hooks, cable tray, and conduit
  • Assist with cable termination, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Use basic hand and power tools
  • Work from ladders and aerial/scissor lifts when required
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow company and jobsite safety requirements
  • Assist senior technicians and project supervisors with daily field tasks


Qualifications
  • No previous low-voltage experience required
  • Low-voltage, electrical, construction, or cabling experience is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred
  • Willingness to learn and work in a construction environment
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working on ladders and lifts
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States


Schedule
  • Full-time
  • Monday through Friday
  • Overtime may be available depending on project requirements


Pay

Starting at $22.00 per hour, W-2 (Can vary depending on experience)
