Job description

Your Contribution:
As a Launch Logistics Planner, you will play a key role in supporting new business launches by leading all logistics-related activities prior to Start of Production (SOP). Acting as the primary liaison between customers, manufacturing plants, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, you will ensure that logistics processes, material flows, transportation networks, and system setups are properly established to support a successful program launch. Once production begins, responsibility is transitioned to the plant operations team.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound packaging with packaging engineers on assigned programs.
• Ensure cost optimized and secure Inbound/ outbound supply chain settings for new programs.
• Ensure lowest possible inventory for assigned programs including consignment implementation.
• Fulfill deliverables for all logistics requirements of the project.
• Monitor and ensure Material availability in cooperation with Plant and Program Teams.
• Update Project Teams on status of all critical path items / ensure focus and escalation of critical issues.
• Perform related duties as assigned or as situations dictates.
• Keep plant logistics teams informed on program progress and issues - ensure feasibility of logistic settings for plant.
• Support Project Commitment and cost avoidance initiatives for Packaging and Logistic Planning.
• Ensure timely setup of SAP / EDI for new programs.
• Support VSD mapping and consideration in program supply planning.
• Inbound Packaging Development and support as assigned.
• On-site plant support when required.
• Provide logistics cost studies on development & change management projects.
• Support / lead continuous improvement initiatives
Your Experience & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Engineering.
• 2+ years of logistics / manufacturing experience.
• Experience with SAP, WEB EDI and all Microsoft office applications preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to handle multiple projects in interdisciplinary teams.
• Advanced communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong initiative and cost awareness.
