Job description

Your Contribution:
As a Logistics Intern, you will support key initiatives within our warehouse and material flow operations, contributing to efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across the department. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on project execution on the shop floor.
  • Support implementation of visual communication tools, including displaying shipping schedules on dock-area monitors to improve team awareness of inbound and outbound activity.
  • Assist with warehouse organization initiatives, including verifying bin locations, improving labeling systems, and supporting bin audit processes.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory and bin configurations, including updates related to HVAC warehouse changes and P4M rollout activities.
  • Participate in yard management improvement efforts, supporting initiatives to reduce trailer count and improve trailer flow and utilization.
  • Work directly on the shop floor to observe processes, identify inefficiencies, and help implement practical solutions in real time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support daily logistics operations and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participate in scheduled shadowing opportunities with Logistics leaders to gain insight into departmental functions, leadership responsibilities, and plant-wide operations.

Your Experience & Qualifications:
  • Proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset with a willingness to work on the shop floor.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Interest in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to balance both project-based work and operational support in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel preferred).
