Job Description

Responsibilities: 

Migrate databases from HP Unix to Solaris OS Platform 

Upgrade databases to Oracle 12c 

Install, Configure Golden gate for data replication 

Install, Configure RAC databases for high availablity 

Provide support on all the stages of database implementation and/or database related deployments 

Participate in project meetings, as necessary, to understand application and database requirements 

Ability to work independently and to resolve complex Oracle issues 

Run diagnostic tools to identify database performance bottlenecks, and take appropriate corrective actions to improve database performance. Work with development teams to tune SQL queries. 

Troubleshoot Oracle performance and non-performance related issues either independently or in conjunction with other DBAs 

Manage backup/recovery for Oracle instances 

Management of database and resource capacity planning. 

Implement and enforce database security based upon best practice, SOX regulations, and company policies 

Installation of new Oracle instances and upgrades 

Setting up and resolving issues with Oracle Data Guard environments 

Scripting language (ksh, perl) 


Requirements 

Min. experience of 10+ yr. Oracle DBA required 

Proficient and experienced with Oracle RAC (design, configuration, installations and tuning), including version Oracle 12c. 

Proficient and experienced with Golden Gate technology. 

Proficient and experienced with ASM, RMAN and Active Data Guard database technologies. 

Strong production support experience & customer service skills 

Oracle 11G and 12c Database Administration and Management on HP/Solaris and Linux environments 

Oracle internals 

Oracle Database Tuning and Performance - usage of statspack, AWR, ADDM, ASH and UNIX native commands 

Oracle backup and recovery configuration and procedures 

Oracle Enterprise Manager/Grid Control for environment standardization 

Knowledge of enterprise data architecture principles 

Ability to develop data requirements and configure database parameters accordingly 

Exadata experience a huge plus


Qualifications

Experience with system administration of the following products: 

Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 

Oracle Agile/PLM R9.3.3 

Oracle GRC 

Oracle WebLogic 

List of qualifications in order of preference: 

At least 1 year hands-on Oracle Agile/PLM R9.3.3 installation, administration and support experience 

At least 1 year hands-on Oracle GRC (AACG 8.6.5) installation, administration and support experience 

At least 2 years hands-on Oracle EBS (R11.5, 12.1, 12.2) installation, administration and support experience
