Job description

System Admin II Interested candidates should apply directly to Level 2 Technician should be proactive in meeting customer expectations by resolving tickets, completing project tasks, answering end user questions, and limiting down time. Level 2 admins follow best practices and industry standards to ensure the highest levels of security. Work to deploy, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and refresh client and enterprise computing equipment in a secured environment. A current CompTIA Security+ CE and an Active DOD Clearance are required pre-start for this role. Location: Ridley Park, PA - position is onsite Long-term contract Pay: $25-30/hr - weekly pay on W2 Role Responsibilities: Maintain hardware infrastructure in an isolated (secured area) network lab
Build virtual desktops and servers utilizing VMware
Install complex applications with multiple integrations
Peer review installation documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and understanding
Trouble-shoot complex application and integration issues
Create and maintain Active Directory and Remote Access/VPN User accounts
Create/deploy/maintain mandated secure Group Policy solutions and trouble-shoot security implications with affected applications
Interface with customers, vendors, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to solve complex problems
Perform backups and restores
Develop new processes work to improve project efficiency
Maintain update services for software applications and infrastructure
Provide recommendations for hardware architecture and software tools
Maintain multiple license server implementations for application functionality
Create and maintain PKI infrastructure, and provide guidance for customers needing similar solutions within existing networks
Requirements Must have an interim secret or higher DoD Security Clearance
CompTIA Security+ CE
At least 3 years relevant experience integrating, configuring, and troubleshooting a broad range of technologies
Knowledge of Microsoft workstation and other key operating systems
Familiarity in the following disciplines is required

Development, Production and Application Servers
Desktop Systems (Windows/Linux)
Network Technology and some topology
Experience using other MS office products
Ability to install and maintain Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 or Linux RHEL 8/9 Operating systems on devices and associated peripherals
Ability to install new software releases, system upgrades, patches and resolve software/hardware related issues
Provide software/hardware support for desktops, laptops and workstations in Closed Areas
Support dedicated network infrastructure from operational and maintenance perspective
Perform install, move, add, change and dispose (IMACD) activities as required
Provide follow-up on problems, issues and escalations
Must have familiarity with Microsoft Server administration- some experience with Server 2019 and Windows 10, Server 2022 and Windows 11 experience is a plus. Or familiarity with Linux Server Administration- some experience with RHEL 8 or higher; RHEL 9 experience is a plus.
Must have familiarity with Active Directory.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with individuals from multiple disciplines and technical backgrounds.
Must be Self Sufficient- self-directed individual capable of working within multiple dynamic environments and possess good communications skills Preferred Qualfications Preferred candidates will have experience with managing assets through network-based software around the following disciplines: Anti-virus, backup and recovery, vulnerability scanning, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), or auditing.
