Systems Administrator / Engineer to develop, operate, and own the end-to-end infrastructure of a controlled access facility.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Systems Administrator / Engineer to develop, operate, and own the end-to-end infrastructure of a controlled access facility. The role includes architecture, build, sustainment, security hardening, compliance, user-support, and collaboration with Security, Facilities, and Program teams. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our corporate Windows and Linux systems, managing our Active Directory environment, maintaining network infrastructures, and assisting with cloud infrastructure on Azure. Additionally, support for corporate low-side infrastructure will be required in down-time.
Responsibilities:
  • Own the full lifecycle of controlled area infrastructure, including design, implementation, hardening, and sustainment of Windows / Linux servers, virtualization platforms, storage, networks, and firewalls.
  • Maintain SSP, SRTM, and compliance documentation in coordination with ISSO/Physical Security Manager.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support mission requirements and scheduled changes.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows systems
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and domain controllers.
  • Assist in managing cloud infrastructure on Azure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.
  • Monitor and maintain Veeam backups.
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Provide support for Ubiquiti, Dell, and Cisco network appliances including advanced configurations such as packet inspection and subnetting.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies and procedures; implement and maintain compliance with DISA STIGs, vulnerability scanning tools
  • Troubleshoot system and network issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Provide end-user support and training as needed

Qualifications:
  • Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems / network administration supporting DoD or controlled access facility.
  • Experience supporting RMF/ATO processes and generating compliance evidence (SSP, controls, implementation statements).
  • Experience coordinating with Physical Security Manager and supporting inspections or accreditations.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CUI handling, and DoD security expectations
  • Strong documentation, communication, and change management skills
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience working with infrastructure inside cleared spaces
  • Experience with Active Directory, including user management and group policies.
  • Experience with Hyper-V and Window30s Server.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Familiarity with STE/STN requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed

Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow
  • Experience with Ubiquiti, Dell, and Cisco appliances
  • Experience with Veeam backup technology.

Pay Range: 130,000-190,000
