JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I EXEMPT: NOREPORTS TO: Crew Supervisor JOB SUMMARY:The Landscape Maintenance Technician I will be responsible for maintaining the landscape and grounds of industrial, commercial, residential, retail or public properties. This includes mowing turf areas, trimming plants, and basic care of garden equipment. The Landscape Maintenance Technician I will also maintain a constant watch for safety problems and notify their supervisor immediately of any unsafe working conditions or practices observed in the work area. Level I: Applies basic skills while developing some specialized skills in procedure, operations, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment appropriate to landscape maintenance; performs routine and/or repetitive tasks; limited decision making required; generally, works under close supervision; has no or limited experience; work is performed from within specific limits of established procedures and/or defined instructions.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Mowing lawns and turf areasTrimming Plants Removing Weeds Cleaning Basic care of garden equipmentRiding in company vehicle to job sitesMaintaining a constant watch for safety problems Notifying supervisor immediately of unsafe working conditions or practices observed in the work area.
