Entry-level Generator Technician

Empowered Global, Inc.

Naples, FL • On-site

$18 - $24/hr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, PTO

Posted 4 days ago

Job description

$18-24 hourly | Naples, FL service area | Paid training

Empowered Global is growing our generator service team and looking for a hands-on, hardworking individual who wants to build a career in the skilled trades.

This is an entry-level opportunity, but this is not an office or classroom-only position. We're looking for someone who has demonstrated they can work with their hands, handle physically demanding work, and stay productive in hot outdoor conditions.

If you've worked in construction, electrical, HVAC, landscaping, maintenance, installation, or another hands-on trade, you may have the foundation we're looking for. Direct generator experience is helpful, but we'll teach you the rest.

What You'll Learn & Do

You'll work alongside experienced generator technicians while developing practical skills in the field. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with generator installations, maintenance, and service
  • Helping technicians diagnose and resolve equipment issues
  • Handling tools, materials, parts, and equipment on jobsites
  • Performing basic jobsite preparation and cleanup
  • Supporting quality-control inspections and service work
  • Following electrical, equipment, and jobsite safety procedures
  • Learning generator systems, components, and installation practices
  • Communicating professionally with customers and team members

You'll spend your time in the field learning by doing, not sitting behind a desk.

The Right Background Matters

We're open to candidates early in their trade career, but we want to see evidence that you're comfortable with real-world physical work.

You could be a great fit if you've worked in:

  • Construction or construction labor
  • Electrical work or electrical assisting
  • HVAC or mechanical work
  • Equipment installation
  • Maintenance or facilities
  • Landscaping or other outdoor trades
  • Residential service or home improvement
  • Another hands-on field where you're working with tools and equipment

Residential experience is a plus, but not required. What matters most is that you're dependable, willing to learn, comfortable working outside, and ready to develop a skilled trade.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Some previous hands-on work experience - trade experience is preferred
  • Comfortable working outdoors in the Florida heat and changing weather conditions
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools or eager to learn
  • Dependable and willing to take direction from experienced technicians
  • Able to stand, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in attics and other challenging environments
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

Trade school or technical training is a plus, but it is not a substitute for hands-on work experience.

Why Empowered Global?

We're a locally owned electrical contractor serving Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, and surrounding communities. Our team works across generators, residential electrical service, remodels, and light commercial work.

We invest in people who want to grow - providing the tools, training, and experienced technicians needed to develop a long-term career in the trades.

You'll receive:

  • $18–$24 per hour, based on experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement plan with up to 3% company match
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Company-provided phone, iPad, uniforms, and necessary equipment
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Paid training and hands-on development
  • Opportunities to advance as your skills grow
  • Company team events and outings
