This is a great opportunity for a qualified Duck Creek Software Configurator/Developer to elicit requirements, write and test software code across FCCI's insurance product suite. In addition, this team member will play a role in building integrations within the growing FCCI ecosystem (including third parties). This position will be based out of our regional office in Richardson, TX, (could also be worked from our office in Sarasota, FL) with the opportunity to work a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
In this role you will enjoy the following:
  • Leading Duck creek detailed requirement elicitation or equivalent policy administration
  • Analysis, programming, and configuration of end user applications, integrations and/or systems software
  • Performing minor and major software upgrades
  • Working effectively within a team culture (with business and IT partners) to define project requirements & interdependencies.
  • Translating business requirements into system requirements
  • Updating system documentation, such as design documents
  • Assisting in code reviews and code cleanups
  • Working closely with the DevOps teams to build needed alerting, dashboards, and automated system healing services and processes
  • Supporting code migration from development to production by leveraging process automation via CICD/DevOps pipeline setup.

To successfully perform this role you will need the following:
  • Knowledge of Duck Creek OnDemand a SaaS solution for P&C insurance that supports Duck Creek's full suite of products and provides a new model for addressing the changing Insurance marketplace requirements and carrier concerns.
  • Experience with Duck Creek insurance product suites (Policy, Producer, Agency Management, Reinsurance and Underwriter Workbench) or equivalent policy administration
  • Experience with systems integration (Policy, Billing, Claims, Reinsurance, third-party systems)
  • Solid working knowledge of commercial insurance business and insurance terminology
  • Knowledge in Duck Creek Policy Author® Manuscripts configuration, XSLT transforms, SQL Database queries and procedures, JavaScript, .NET, C#, and more.
  • Real time project experience in Rating, Pages design, Forms development, Transact, Skins, UW Rules etc.
  • Knowledge of Example Author Server CBO express and Skins.
  • Knowledge of debugging Duck Creek issues and provide solution for DC components. Expertise in using debuggers like Data Tester, Trace Monitor, TSV Debugger, Example Debugger & Post Request.
  • Understanding of manuscripts versioning and configuration.
  • Expertise in design and implementation of Code Architecture and Inheritance model for Duck Creek product suite implementations.
  • Expertise in setting code repository using version control tools like SVN and TFS for multiple Duck Creek implementation.
  • Expertise in designing Code Deployment and Maintenance strategy and implementing them for Duck Creek products implementations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile development methodologies including some of the following: Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Test-driven development, and Behavior-driven development preferred.
  • Ability to work independently yet functions as an integral part of a dynamic team.

The salary range for this position is $115,000-$145,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
