Autoport Limited is hiring on-call employees in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia!

This is an entry-level position, but there is no need to stop there; within Autoport, there is ample opportunity for growth, with tenured employees of 20+ years.


Employees in the On-Call Department support vehicle processing operations and perform a variety of tasks in the railyard. Working as part of a team, employees ensure vehicles are safely handled, secured, and moved efficiently while adhering to all safety standards and operational procedures. As opportunities arise, employees in this role may be eligible to bid into a full-time, scheduled position within one of Autoport’s departments.


This role involves physical labour and requires employees to work outdoors year-round. If you thrive off the high of a “good day’s work” and are comfortable in a physically demanding environment, this position may be for you.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Punctual and reliable
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Team player with a strong safety mindset
  • Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
  • Able to adhere to quality and safety standards
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Physically capable of performing manual labour, including: climbing ladders up to 15 feet in height; lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 50lbs; working on uneven surfaces and in an active railyard environment
