Job description

Machine Operator / Print / Labeling Operator

Location: Middlefield, Ohio

1st & 3rd (12-Hour Shifts)

Job Purpose

The purpose of a Machine Operator/Print/Labeling Operator is to take responsibility for reading packing sheets, quality inspecting products coming out of a Dry Offset printer, and loading products into boxes according to company standards.

This position requires working in a warm-temperature environment throughout the shift. The role requires a full range of motion, including standing, reaching, moving, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs. While there is no specific production quota, employees are expected to maintain a steady work pace to keep up with production needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect finished products coming from the Dry Offset printer.
  • Separate defective products and place them in the designated recycling area. Defects may include ink splatter, faded ink, smudges, and other quality issues.
  • Package good-quality products according to company standards.
  • Read packing sheets to determine the required quantity of products per box.
  • Assemble boxes onto pallets according to company standards.
  • Label boxes and pallets in preparation for shipping.
  • Operate a manual pallet jack.
  • Move finished pallets with a pallet jack to the designated area for Material Handlers.
  • Identify errors and use problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
  • Perform minor adjustments to the Dry Offset printer, such as adjusting screws and adding ink.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
