STATE PROFILE SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, provides entry level technical support in one or more of the following areas: OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, planning, utilities, surveying, environmental or traffic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Perform routine testing of various materials used in highway construction.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Transport samples between district offices.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Performing calculations and Recording materials test results.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Performing operation and maintenance of various testing equipment and tools used in construction materials testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Qualifications.

STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  A valid Georgia Driver's License is required.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to learn to perform routine support duties for assigned program area (i.e. construction, surveying, traffic operations, lab testing or data collection).

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to learn to operate equipment and/or instruments as required.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to learn laboratory and/or field sampling and testing of construction materials.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to perform computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division correctly.
