Job description

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team. This entry-level position is responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining accurate data in our company databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, typing skills, and basic computer proficiency. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Input various types of data into different health plan EMR's (electronic medical records), company databases, and spreadsheets with high accuracy. 
  • Review data for completeness and accuracy, reporting any discrepancies to supervisors/management. 
  • Ensure patient information is documented correctly from one EMR to another. 
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for documents and records 
  • Scan and upload documents while ensuring proper labeling and organization. 
  • Address basic data-related queries from team members and management. 
  • Perform other duties as needed. 

Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • 1+ year of healthcare or data entry experience. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite  
  • Strong Excel skills required, including experience with conditional formatting and Pivot Tables. 
  • Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM with high accuracy. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Basic understanding of data confidentiality and security practices. 
  • Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work well in a close team environment.
