The Administrative Assistant provides support services and performs clerical and computer related duties regarding all activities within the plant and lab.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Performs Administrative Support by providing general clerical duties that include typing, copying, faxing, mailing, and filing; interacting with customers, vendors, and visitors; answering switchboard incoming calls including forwarding, paging, and taking messages as needed; creating and modifying documents such as invoices, COA’s, reports, manufacturing data, using word processing, spreadsheets, database and other software or programs; supporting other departments with clerical duties and data entry as needed; maintaining office equipment; purchasing office and plant materials and keeping correct inventories; managing shipping accounts (UPS/Fed Ex) including equipment and rates for laboratory samples
  • Maintains Documentation by accessing and entering Oracle data; maintaining purchasing database; processing COA’s for customers and invoices for vendors; maintaining customer database and customer information
  • Demonstrates Math Skills by analyzing qualitative data; performing mathematical calculations (arithmetic, statistics); working with alphanumeric sequences.
  • Demonstrates Computer Skills by proficiency in computer systems and software (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word, Lotus Notes, etc.)
  • Demonstrates Interpersonal skills by working independently and with a team and delegating workload and responsibilities; attention to detail; effective time management; ability to meet deadlines; communicating product status with personnel and other departments.
  • Improves Job Knowledge by attending training and keeping relevant knowledge and skills current.
  • Contributes to Organization Success by meeting team and company goals; demonstrating company principles and policies; helping others accomplish job results; following all Quality System and safety protocols; safely operating equipment; wearing proper protective equipment; completing safety training; and contributing to safety goal of zero accidents; keeping work areas clean and organized: meeting attendance guidelines; developing and assisting in implementation of ideas for continuous improvement.
