As a Mobile Applications Intern, you will work closely with software engineers and cross-functional teams to develop mobile solutions, enhance user experiences, and support innovative connected products. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:Mobile Application Development
  • Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of Android mobile applications.
  • Support application development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Contribute to user interface implementation and application feature development.
  • Learn and apply modern mobile architecture and software development best practices.
Connected Technologies & Embedded Systems
  • Support the development of mobile applications that communicate with embedded systems.
  • Assist with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication and connectivity testing.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve issues related to device communication and application performance.
  • Gain exposure to connected product ecosystems and smart technology solutions.
Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Assist with unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting mobile applications.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic programming proficiency in Kotlin, Java, C++, or a similar programming language.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and software development fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of mobile application development concepts.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
  • Basic understanding of software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and development tools quickly.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with strong attention to detail.

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $22.50 – $25/hour. This rate is based on the intern's current year in their respective university programs. Graduate students may receive a higher rate of pay based on their year in school. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
