About the Role
Renown Mortgage is looking for an experienced, licensed Loan Partner to join Team Justice in our Puyallup office.
This is not an entry-level mortgage support role. We are looking for someone who understands the mortgage process, can review borrower scenarios, evaluate documentation, understand guidelines and pricing, and help support a high-trust client experience from pre-approval through closing.
The right person will be detail-oriented, relational, proactive, calm under pressure, and comfortable being a key second-chair partner to a high-producing Loan Officer. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the mortgage business, understands how important borrower experience is, and wants to grow into a senior role inside a strong team environment without needing to be the primary outside sales originator.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will help support borrower analysis, pre-approval preparation, loan setup, client communication, and overall file momentum.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing borrower applications, credit, income, assets, AUS findings, and documentation
- Identifying questions, gaps, or concerns before files move forward
- Helping prepare pre-approval details for the Loan Officer to review and present
- Understanding loan structure, pricing, guidelines, and borrower strategy enough to advise the Loan Officer internally
- Communicating with borrowers about documentation needs, next steps, and file updates
- Helping keep pre-approved clients engaged while they are shopping for homes
- Running updated numbers and helping support revised pre-approval scenarios when needed
- Reviewing contracts, noting key dates, and identifying anything unusual or important
- Setting up loan files, preparing disclosures, and coordinating with processing
- Managing follow-up so clients, agents, and referral partners feel informed and cared for
- Supporting weekly updates and key milestone communication
- Helping maintain clean notes, tasks, and file organization inside the team’s systems
This role is a major part of the client experience. We want borrowers and referral partners to feel educated, cared for, and confident throughout the process.
What We’re Looking For: *Required

Experience as a Loan Partner, LOA, Junior Loan Officer, Processor, or similar mortgage role
Comfortable reviewing income, assets, credit, AUS findings, and conditions
Strong written borrower communication

Warm, relational communication style
Proactive follow-up without needing constant direction
Ability to work inside a team process
Comfortable with commission-based compensation
Located close enough to work in-office in Puyallup
Preferred, but not required:
Experience with self-employed borrowers
Experience with non-QM, DSCR, bank statement, bridge, or other specialty loan products

Experience supporting a high-producing Loan Officer or mortgage team

Growth Opportunity:
For the right person, this role can grow into a Senior Loan Partner, Team Lead, or Operations Leadership position.
We are looking for someone who can become a trusted partner in the business, help improve systems, support client experience, and eventually help lead other team members as the team grows.
Who You’ll Work Best With
You’ll be a strong fit if you enjoy being part of a relational, mission-driven team that cares deeply about people, communication, and excellence.
