Andromeda Systems Incorporated (ASI) is hiring an entry-level software developer to join our team in developing our web-based application using the latest .Net, Angular, and SQL technologies. This position is located in Jacksonville, FL.

ASI develops enterprise software used by physical asset managers to keep their equipment and fleets performing at their highest levels. Our customers include the Department of Defense, commercial fleet operators, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to dive into our application stack and join a team of innovators. You will be building applications from the ground up and enhancing an existing core. You will have the opportunity to work in small, but complete, teams that have total ownership of applications and modules.

Responsibilities:

  • In a .Net environment, code, test, debug, and implement custom application in C# utilizing microservices techniques along with Angular 2+
  • Utilize SQL to pull, query, and join data using TSQL as necessary
  • Integrate multiple components potentially across disparate applications
  • Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation
  • Innovate on tools and processes that simplify and expedite achieving development goals
  • Collaborate with other technical teams (DevOps, Database, QA Testers, and Analysts) to ensure successful delivery of projects from testing to integration to deployment

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited U.S. institution
  • 0–2 years of professional software development experience
  • Working knowledge of C# and the .NET framework and .NET Core
  • Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including writing SQL queries and understanding relational database concepts
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and software design fundamentals
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and client/server application architecture
  • Basic understanding of debugging, testing, and troubleshooting software applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum development environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship, co-op, academic, or personal project experience using Angular, C#, or SQL Server
  • Familiarity with Entity Framework or Entity Framework Core
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, Jasmine, or Karma)
  • Understanding of dependency injection and modern software architecture patterns
  • Experience in consuming or developing REST APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex, or similar) to improve productivity in coding, debugging, testing, and documentation while validating AI-generated output for accuracy, security, and maintainability
