Job description

Job Description: This position required development support for redesigning the mainframe applications to web applications and web-services. The responsibilities will also include maintaining in the current application and documenting the design of the existing applications. The successful candidate should be able to quickly learn the existing system make the updates for the up-coming release, document the functionality and the design of the current system.

The candidate will be responsible for moving the application code from development to validation environment and ensure the functionality of application. The candidate will also assist in developing reporting and other project artifacts. The successful needs to be fluent in web application and web services using JEE technologies, familiarity with mainframe technologies will be a plus.

Skills Requirements: Experience with SQL and one or more RDMS; preferably IBM DB2. JPA ORM Tools JPA, DROOLS, JBPM . MAVEN/ Nexus Repository.

Java Servlets/JSP, JAXP, JAXB, JDBC. Apache Ant/Apache and JUnit. XML, XPath, and XSLT.

HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX. IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS). Network programming; HTTP and HTTPS.

Systems analysis and design. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Develop and maintain technical documentation including, but not limited to: Architectural specifications Functional design specifications User interface design Code documentation Installation guides Release notes.
