Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Remote DevOps Engineer w/Openshift for a contract assignment with one of our premier Healthcare Services clients in Jacksonville, FL . (Remote with occasional visit onsite as necessary maybe once a quarter)
Candidates MUST be solid DevOps Engineer with experience deploying, configuring, and supporting applications on OpenShift container platform.
Be proactive in identifying/detecting issues by monitoring application logs, metrics, and system health using Splunk.
Able to troubleshoot production incidents, pipeline failures, and deployment issues to maximize system uptime and reliability.
Maintain and support enterprise Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for automated application builds, testing, and multi-environment deployments.
Responsibilities :
  • Responsible for the development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions using Java, OpenShift and NodeJS to enable firm Customer Experience applications.
  • Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle which include: gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements, responding to outages and creating application system models.
  • Responsible for documenting detailed system specifications and will participate in evaluating, conducting performance testing, and all planned and unplanned maintenance for both internally developed applications and purchased products.
  • Participate in design meetings and consult with clients to refine, test and debug programs to meet business needs and interact and sometimes direct third party partners in the achievement of business and technology initiatives.
  • Responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application.
  • Production and non-production infrastructure management (Windows OS patching, certificate updates, password rotation)
  • Ongoing EVMP Support and remediation of servers and applications in production and non-production environments
  • JIVA and Care application release management (BART, Jenkins, OpenShift)
  • Critical data load management (member, provider, benefits) in production
  • Production monitoring and alert response (Splunk, Nimsoft, Control-M)
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity support
  • 24/7 on-call support
  • Audit and compliance support (SOC2, IA, High Trust)
  • Support InterQual and Episode Management System upgrades/patches
  • Support Service Delivery and infrastructure upgrades for Linux OS in production and non-production
