The NF Integrated Digital Services team is seeking adetail-oriented Software Engineerwith advanced Java, SQL and AWS infrastructure skills to support eB2B systems. eB2B enables critical business processes for the Annuities, Life Insurance, and Retirement Solutions lines of business, ensuring Firms and Advisors can issue new business and service their customers efficiently.

As a Software Engineer on the eB2B team, you will play a critical role in supporting the eB2B Run Team by managing infrastructure tasks, incident resolution, and file transfer operations. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery processes. Additionally, you will maintain DTCC and non-DTCC feed transmissions, working closely with team members and business partners to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability across platforms.

As a Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you'll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong experience in software development and infrastructure support.
  • Hands-on expertise with CI/CD tools and pipeline management.
  • Knowledge of file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP) and data feed systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in AWS infrastructure.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to a Technology Manager/Director.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.

Experience: Two or more years of analysis and technology experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript. Knowledge of software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle moderately sophisticated business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and Human Resources Business Partner.
