Position Summary
Base-2 Solutions is seeking an Agile Developer 1 to support the modernization of a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies. This role contributes to microservices development, AWS-native services, REST services, and CI/CD in a collaborative Agile environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop Java Spring Boot-based microservice applications using AWS native technologies.
  • Use Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, and S3.
  • Build REST services with Spring capable of filtering and selecting complex data objects.
  • Implement CI/CD principles using Maven, GitLab, and GitOps.
  • Support Agile software development and delivery.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, with a CI Polygraph within the last 7 years.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with at least 2 of the following:
    • Java, Spring Boot, or Python.
    • JSON Schema.
    • Microservice architectures.
    • CI/CD tools including AWS tools, Maven, GitLab, GitOps, Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible.
    • NoSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB query and schema design.
    • OAuth/OIDC implementation.
    • Test frameworks and automation including Cypress and Cucumber.
