Entry Level Jarraff Operator Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Rowe Tree Co., Inc. – Goldsboro, NC Area

Rowe Tree Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Jarraff Operator for full-time utility right-of-way work. This position consists of trimming and clearing distribution lines for utility companies.

Pay: $22 - $26 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Job Responsibilities:

·         Safely operate a Jarraf tree-trimming machine

·         Trim trees and clear vegetation along distribution line

·         Work safely around overhead power lines, roadways, structures, and other hazards

·         Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns

·         Follow EMC requirements, company safety procedures, traffic-control requirements, and OSHA regulations

·         Work closely with the foreman and other crew members

·         Maintain good production while protecting property and utility equipment

·         Wear all required personal protective equipment

Qualifications:

·         Previous experience operating a Jarraf is required

·         Utility right-of-way or line-clearance experience is strongly preferred

·         Knowledge of electrical hazards and safe working distances

·         Ability to work outdoors in changing weather and ground conditions

·         Dependable, safety-minded, and able to follow instructions

·         Valid driver’s license required

***This is not an entry-level equipment-operator position. Applicants must have actual Jarraff operating experience and understand the safety requirements involved with utility right-of-way work.***
