ATS - AL, Inc is hiring. We offer a broad range of IT services; however, this is not your “typical” IT Tech position. Your day can range from reinstalling a PC Operating System to drilling holes and running CAT6 and fiber through entire buildings to installing racks, nodes, terminating patch panels and configuring VLANs. Required skills:
  • 2+ years of experience with PCs, printers, laptops and some server experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems.
  • Working knowledge and troubleshooting of standard desktop applications.
  • Knowledge of Cat 5e or higher cabling and troubleshooting.
  • Minimum knowledge of switch/router management, with aptitude to expand knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal/team skills and the ability to impart information to colleagues with a varied range of computer knowledge.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills quickly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Respond to requests from end users.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and failures.
  • Keep systems patched with up-to-date drivers, firmware, etc.
  • Monitor networks and security to ensure stability.
  • Deliver and install new PCs – transfer data and applications. 
  • Proactively identify areas of improvement and help streamline operations.
  • Share knowledge with other team members

Required experience:
  • Set up and configure PC workstations on Windows 10 and peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, etc.).
  • Confidently troubleshoot software, hardware, and network related issues on Windows 10 based PCs.
  • Research problem issues using a myriad of technical resources (previous tickets, Internet, etc.).
  • Understand PC networking concepts, software, and hardware routinely used in an enterprise setting.
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers, managers, and customers on technical related issues using proper grammar.
