Desktop Support Analyst (Entry-Level IT Support Technician) - Contract - Henderson/Las Vegas, NV. 
Title:
Desktop Support Analyst (Entry-Level IT Support Technician)
Location: Hendersen, Las Vegas (100% on site)             
Duration: 7 week Contract (possible extension)
Compensation: $18 - $20/hr.

Hardware Decommissioning, Data Wiping, and Asset Preparation Support. 
Hardware Processing Technician / Entry-Level IT Support Technician. 
SUMMARY
Our Government Client is seeking two contractor resources to support a 7 week onsite engagement to process a backlog of endpoint client devices and related legacy equipment that has already been recovered and placed in designated storage or staging areas. Contractor personnel will provide labor and basic technical skills to wipe hard drives and other data-bearing media using Client-provided wiping stations, maintain simple activity records, palletize and label equipment, prepare assets for auction or donation, move equipment to designated staging or donation areas, and support related labor or basic IT support tasks if the primary backlog is completed before the end of the engagement. Contractor personnel will report to and receive work directions from the Clientโ€™s Tech Lead.
TASKS: 
Weekly Activity Log summarizing equipment processed, hard drives wiped, pallets prepared, equipment moved, and any related support work completed during the reporting period.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to perform repetitive, labor-intensive work in an onsite IT and equipment handling environment; ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
  • Ability to safely lift, move, sort, and stage computer equipment and related hardware;
  • Basic familiarity with desktop computers, laptops, monitors, and peripherals; ability to maintain simple activity logs and follow established processing procedures; dependable attendance, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Prior experience with inventory handling, warehouse support, equipment staging, surplus processing, basic desktop support, or IT asset handling;
  • Familiarity with using standard tools, labels, carts, pallets, or similar equipment handling materials;
  • Experience working in a structured, repetitive, task-based environment; prior work in a public sector (government), office, or technical support environment is helpful but not required.
Work Schedule
  • On site work (or 100% ONSITE)
  • Monday โ€“ Thursday 7:30AM โ€“ 5:30 PM PST
  • 38-hour work week (9.5 hours/day - .5 unpaid lunch) = 10 hour work days
  • Must be able to pass a criminal back ground check (including livescan) before starting work. Takes 3-6 weeks to clear.
