Location: Delaware (Statewide) - Travel Required Throughout Delaware

Impact Life is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals through behavioral health, recovery support, housing, harm reduction, and community-based services throughout Delaware. Our mission is to inspire hope, promote recovery, and strengthen communities by providing compassionate, person-centered care.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused IT Specialist to serve as the organization's primary internal technology resource. This position provides both strategic oversight and hands-on technical support while ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of technology systems across multiple office and program locations throughout Delaware.

The ideal candidate is a self-directed IT professional who is comfortable managing technology independently while partnering with organizational leadership to support operational excellence and organizational growth.

Position Summary

The IT Specialist is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of Impact Life's technology infrastructure. This position combines systems administration, technology planning, cybersecurity, vendor coordination, and end-user support to ensure employees have reliable technology resources to successfully carry out the organization's mission.

This position serves as Impact Life's primary internal technology resource and requires a high degree of independence, initiative, and sound judgment. The IT Specialist is responsible for balancing strategic technology management with responsive day-to-day support while ensuring technology systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational needs.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnd User Support
  • Provide timely technical support to employees for hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and other technology equipment.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate employee technology onboarding and offboarding, including equipment setup, account creation, and equipment recovery.
  • Maintain technology asset inventory and equipment records.
  • Provide technical support for conference room technology and audio/visual equipment.
Microsoft 365 Administration
  • Administer Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, user account management, licensing, security settings, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Create, modify, and disable user accounts and permissions.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 licensing and user access.
  • Support collaboration tools and assist users with Microsoft applications.
Infrastructure Management
  • Maintain office technology infrastructure, including wireless networks, internet connectivity, printers, and technology equipment.
  • Support and maintain Ubiquiti networking equipment and Ubiquiti Protect security camera systems.
  • Coordinate hardware deployments, upgrades, replacements, and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain technology documentation, inventories, and standard operating procedures.
  • Recommend technology improvements that enhance organizational efficiency and security.
Organizational Systems Support

Provide technical support and administration for organizational technology platforms, including but not limited to:

  • Microsoft 365

Cybersecurity
  • Maintain endpoint security and support cybersecurity best practices.

  • Assist with backup verification and disaster recovery planning.
  • Respond appropriately to technology security incidents.
Vendor Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technology vendors and service providers.
  • Coordinate hardware purchases, warranty support, software licensing, and equipment repairs.
  • Evaluate technology solutions and make recommendations that support organizational goals.
Technology Planning
  • Recommend technology improvements that enhance operational efficiency, security, and user experience.

Work Schedule
  • Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Regular schedule is Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

  • Occasional evening or weekend availability is required to support technology projects, system maintenance, organizational events, emergency technical issues, or other business needs.
  • Regular travel between Impact Life locations throughout Delaware is required.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible IT experience.
  • Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, user account management, licensing, security settings, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Experience supporting Windows-based computers, hardware deployment, software installation, and office technology.
  • Experience maintaining office technology infrastructure, including wireless networks, printers, and related equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and the ability to travel between Impact Life locations throughout Delaware.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably Behave or a comparable healthcare platform.
  • Experience administering Slack.
  • Experience supporting Adobe Creative Cloud licensing and applications.
  • Experience supporting nonprofit or healthcare organizations.
  • Experience supporting multiple office locations.
  • Experience with Ubiquiti networking and security camera systems.
