Position Overview
This position works under the direction of the IT Network and System Manager. As the on-site point of contact for IT support, you'll ensure the smooth operation of all hardware and software systems across the facility. Your work will directly impact productivity by minimizing downtime, supporting users, and maintaining the integrity and performance of IT infrastructure. You'll be a key player in keeping our systems secure, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Promote Safety as the number one priority of all employees.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software components to ensure usability.
  • Set up and decommission of endpoints, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including repairs and part replacements.
  • Provide Tier 1 support through the IT Help Desk ticketing portal and serve as on-site contact for IT-related needs.
  • Maintain accurate hardware asset documentation.
  • Identify equipment shortages and coordinate with IT Network and Systems Manager to requisition hardware when needed.
  • Install and configure software according to company specifications and security standards.
    • Ensure the security of internal networks when requested to work with other functional areas to provision new computers and devices.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot multifunction devices and copier machines.
    • Collaborate with the IT Network and Systems Manager on larger infrastructure projects and upgrades.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional is a plus.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of Windows Client Operating Systems, Android OS and Apple iOS.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure, protocols, and security principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Apps and Web-based Apps, Adobe products, and IT ticketing platforms.
  • General mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing printers (laserjet and label printers).
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
