Adecco Staffing is working with a manufacturing plant in Boxborough, MA. We are looking for a Buyer/Planner! This is a Temp-hire position.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build a career in supply chain, purchasing, or production planning. The Buyer/Planner will help ensure materials are available to support production schedules while maintaining accurate inventory levels and working closely with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with purchasing raw materials, components, and supplies needed for production.

  • Monitor inventory levels and help maintain adequate stock.

  • Support production planning by reviewing schedules and material requirements.

  • Create and process purchase orders.

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any shortages.

  • Track open orders and follow up on late deliveries.

  • Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records in the ERP/MRP system.

  • Work with production, warehouse, and quality teams to resolve material-related issues.

  • Analyze inventory data and identify opportunities to improve material flow and reduce shortages.

  • Perform other supply chain and purchasing duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field is a plus.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, customer service, or administrative support is preferred but not required.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus but not required.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
