Job description

The Opportunity 

The Ottawa Senators are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented professional to join us as our Coordinator, Partnership Activation. This is an excellent opportunity to join an NHL franchise at an entry level position which will allow the candidate to become fully engaged in the business of a major league sports team.   

The primary goal of the Coordinator, Partnership Activation is to provide exceptional client service while developing and delivering contractual sponsorship obligations.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Manage multiple corporate accounts and ensure contractual obligations are satisfied in a timely and productive manner. Contractual obligations may include: signage (both static and led), CTCVision, client displays and sampling, social media programs, publication advertising, broadcast spots, game-related activities, special events, special properties and promotions.   
  • Ability to work efficiently with both internal departments and corporate partners to deliver on sponsorship execution.  
  • Develop and foster strong partner relationships and deliver outstanding customer service.  
  • Responsible for the creation and delivery of campaign summaries, event overviews, asset proposals and annual sponsorship reviews at season end.  
  • Maintain close communication with our sponsors through weekly/biweekly calls and meetings with clients.  
  • With a focus on partner strategy, work with the corporate sales team for revenue growth opportunities within the partnership   
  • Maintain and update all partner communications in CRM Salesforce platform and Kore inventory management program. Also required to maintain contract status documents housed in Sales Force.  
  • Support sales reps through proposal development, minor graphics requests (use of Photoshop is recommended) and research as needed.  
  • Create short-form contracts for new and renewing Corporate Partners. Liaison with Corporate reps and legal for contract approvals.  
  • Required to work evenings and weekends, dependent on game schedule and special events.  
  • Work with Finance on a monthly reconciliation of outstanding invoices.  


Qualifications (what we look for) 

  • University or College Marketing graduate, or related field  
  • 2 to 3 years previous marketing experience  
  • Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving  
  • A team player with high level of dedication  
  • Self-motivated, results oriented  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingualism (French & English) an asset  
  • Able to work independently, as well as in a team setting  
  • Excellent presentation skills  
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills

This role falls within a base salary range of $39,500 to $60,500 annually, consistent with the organization’s established salary ranges. Salary ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to market data, internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skillset.
