Job description

Position Summary

Fabuwood is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to support our Custom Shop operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of materials, hardware, and custom components while ensuring production has the right materials available at the right time. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Set up and maintain new inventory items, locations, updates, and inventory records.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels for Custom Shop materials, hardware, and custom components.
  • Conduct location audits and inventory counts to verify accuracy.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure inventory records are kept accurate and up to date.

Material Coordination

  • Order and schedule materials needed to support Custom Shop production.
  • Track incoming materials and follow up on expected delivery dates.
  • Troubleshoot material delays, shortages, and other inventory-related issues.
  • Expedite materials when necessary to prevent production delays.
  • Coordinate with production and other departments to ensure required materials are available when needed.
  • Proactively identify potential shortages and communicate concerns before they impact production.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level position; previous manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, or material coordination experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to accurately maintain records and follow established inventory processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
