Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology/Pain Management position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of Pain/IR experience and an active IL RN license.

Details
  • Evening shift, 5x8s, 3:30pm–12:00am
  • Every other weekend (2 weekends per month) required, with occasional weekend day shifts 8:00am–4:30pm
  • On-call rotation assigned on a weekly basis: M–F 12:00am–8:00am; weekends and holidays require 24-hour on-call coverage, rotated among all nurses
  • This is a mandatory float facility — travelers will float within the Radiology and Pain departments, and may be requested to float to other Cook County facilities up to 50 miles away
  • Charting via Cerner
  • Level 1 Trauma Center setting
Requirements
  • Active IL RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Pain Management and/or Interventional Radiology required
  • ICU experience preferred
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • COVID vaccination proof required — no exceptions
Additional Information
  • Navy blue scrubs required and are not provided by the facility
  • Lead wear is required for this role
  • RTO is limited to 5 days maximum per contract, with no more than 2 consecutive days off; no RTO approved on weekends, holidays, or the day before or after a holiday
  • No special scheduling requests or block scheduling will be approved
  • Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are accepted and preferred
  • First-time travelers are not explicitly welcomed — 2+ years of specialty experience is required
