What We Are Looking For
GVEC is looking to hire you for the position of Customer Service Representative to deliver the unexpected with a willingness to continuously develop yourself, your department, and our organization. As a Customer Service Representative, you will help be responsible for serving both GVEC electric and internet members and customers by phone and in person, assisting with any questions or concerns they may have.
Your Pay
The minimum starting pay for this role is $20.00/hr plus bonuses that are tied to a multitude of organizational benchmarks set forth annually. Pay will be determined by skills, qualifications and experience.
How You'll Help
  • Receiving and posting payments
  • Handling mostly inbound phone calls
  • Listening and resolving concerns
  • Entry level Internet Technical troubleshooting
  • Promotion of other cooperative services

Experience/Skills You'll Need
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and confidently
  • Excellent problem-solving skills - able to effectively troubleshoot minor issues independently
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic. Able to work independently with impeccable sense of integrity
  • Team player with the resolve to provide and take constructive criticism that helps evolve the team
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Must be willing to work a shifting work schedule including some evenings and Saturdays as needed as operational hours are 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Mon-Fri
  • Proficient with PC and Internet
  • Able to work on-call shifts in support of outages
  • Occasionally work in other office locations
