The Cleaning Laborer plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within commercial buildings. Working primarily in small teams, this position involves operating basic cleaning tools to ensure surfaces are prepared and sanitized effectively. The role demands attention to detail and a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment.

Job Description:

Daylight Studio is seeking a reliable, proactive, cleaning  Laborer to join our team. We are a premier NYC destination for Photo, Video, Events, Fashion Shows, and Production Holdings.

Please note: This role does NOT require any technical photo or video equipment knowledge. Instead, we are looking for a dedicated individual who takes pride in maintaining a pristine, functional, and organized environment for our high-profile clients and creative teams.

If you have a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, and don't mind getting your hands dirty to keep a facility running seamlessly, we want to hear from you. Please include a brief cover letter with your resume.

Responsibilities:

  • Studio Cleanliness & Upkeep: Maintain the highest standards of studio organization and cleanliness. Perform routine janitorial care across the complex to ensure spaces are always client-ready.

  • Facility Maintenance: Identify and handle general maintenance projects throughout the facility. Paint studio shoot walls, surfaces, and cycloramas (CYC) as required between bookings.

  • Reset & Setup: Break down existing sets and set up studio spaces/furniture for the following day’s shoots, bookings, or events.

  • Operations Support: Help open and close the studio/office daily. Assist with the logistics of events, trade and fashion shows, castings, and film shoots.

  • Logistics & Errands: Assist in the daily organization and return of props to their proper locations. Be readily available for occasional supply runs or vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning and waste removal tasks in commercial buildings
  • Prepare surfaces for cleaning and sanitization
  • Sanitize various areas to maintain hygiene standards
