Job description

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH), a 720-bed, not-for-profit acute care hospital, working in conjunction with Southern Medical Group, a well-established multispecialty practice, is seeking to add an interventional cardiologist to its growing network of providers. Located in Tallahassee, Florida, TMH has recently partnered with Florida State University Health to deliberately make a long-term investment in cardiovascular care in the North Florida and South Georgia communities. Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, a level II Trauma Center, is the fourth largest employer in Tallahassee, including over 300 physicians in all major specialties and boasts 4 interventional suites. The newly formed partnership with FSU strengthens an already high-performing cardiovascular program and provides a clear path for continued growth, improving continuity, better outcomes, and clinical research and graduate medical education - including teaching opportunities. The Interventional Cardiologist will provide high-quality care, while giving valuable insight and leadership through the practice governance model - while preserving day-to-day practice autonomy.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform Interventional Cardiology procedures, including Cardiac Catheterization, PCI/STEMI, Pulmonary Embolism, TAVR, and Peripheral Vascular cases
  • Help shape the next generation of healthcare leaders to groundbreaking research in a new $125 Million FSU Health building opening in 2026, featuring clinical trials, precision health, digital health, and informatics
  • Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and protocol standardization
  • Support on call coverage and contribute to consistent, high-quality outcomes of emergent cases

Qualifications
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
  • Current unrestricted Florida Medical License or ability to obtain
