CSI is seeking an ambitious and customer-focused Business Development Representative to help expand our presence in the precision manufacturing industry. This entry-level position is designed for individuals looking to build a long-term career in technical B2B sales. Working alongside experienced sales professionals, the successful candidate will identify opportunities; develop customer relationships, support quotations, and gain technical knowledge of precision machining and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within target industries.
- Research prospective customers using market intelligence, LinkedIn, trade directories and referrals.
- Generate new leads through cold calling, email campaigns, networking and trade shows.
- Schedule meetings with engineering, purchasing and operations decision-makers.
- Develop professional relationships with prospective and existing customers.
- Understand customer manufacturing needs and sourcing strategies.
- Follow up on quotations and sales opportunities promptly.
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Learn CSI manufacturing capabilities, quality systems and machining processes.
- Assist with RFQs, quotations and presentations.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Estimating, Production, Planning and Quality.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Associate or Mechanical Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of sales, manufacturing, customer service or business development experience.
- Experience with CNC machining, precision manufacturing, industrial products, or technical B2B sales is a plus.
- Prior experience with outbound prospecting or cold outreach preferred.
- Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Suite is a plus.
- Must be willing to travel regionally (up to 25%).
