POSITION: (Senior) Patent Litigation Paralegal

LOCATION: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Overview for (Senior) Patent Litigation Paralegal:

Join a prestigious law firm in a highly collaborative environment as a (Senior) Patent Litigation Paralegal supporting attorneys on complex patent and intellectual property matters. This position will work closely with the litigation team and provide comprehensive support throughout the lifecycle of matters, with an emphasis on patent work tied to litigation. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while working closely with attorneys and other members of the team.


Responsibilities for (Senior) Patent Litigation Paralegal:

  • Provide comprehensive paralegal support on patent and intellectual property litigation matters throughout the lifecycle of a case
  • Assist attorneys with preparation for hearings, depositions, trials, and other litigation proceedings
  • Coordinate discovery, including document collection, organization, review, and production
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain pleadings, motions, exhibits, discovery materials, and other case documents
  • Conduct factual and legal research and assist attorneys with gathering information for active matters
  • Maintain case files, databases, and other matter-related documentation while tracking important deadlines and filings
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, experts, vendors, and other parties to support active litigation matters


Qualifications for (Senior) Patent Litigation Paralegal:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate preferred
  • 2+ years of paralegal experience, preferably within a law firm environment
  • Experience working on patent matters, ideally in connection with litigation
  • Litigation paralegal experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures and the discovery process
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal technology
