Our firm is partnering with a well-established, independent insurance agency serving individuals and businesses across multiple lines of coverage. They are seeking an Insurance Account Manager to support a producer and act as the primary service contact for clients. This role is focused on account management and client service rather than sales, making it ideal for someone who enjoys operational support, organization, and relationship management within the insurance industry.
Job Description
The Insurance Account Manager will work closely with a producer and assist with the day-to-day management of personal and commercial insurance accounts. This position serves as the first point of contact for many client needs and plays a key role in policy servicing, documentation, and coordination with carriers.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting a producer in all facets of account management and policy servicing
  • Assisting clients with policy quoting, endorsements, and coverage changes
  • Preparing applications and gathering underwriting details for submission to carriers
  • Working with underwriters to provide requested information and respond to follow-up questions
  • Assisting with policy issuance, rewrites, and renewals
  • Helping with billing inquiries, payments, and explanations of statements
  • Processing ID cards, certificates of insurance (COIs), and policy documents
  • Preparing insurance summaries and client proposals
  • Assisting with commercial insurance audits
  • Filing insurance claims and following up on claim status as needed
  • Escalating more complex or sensitive questions to the producer when appropriate

Qualifications
Required
  • Prior experience in an insurance agency or brokerage environment
  • Knowledge of personal and/or commercial insurance processes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain)
