Job description

This position is an entry-level position for implementing and maintaining automated industrial controls systems. The position requires an understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC), human-machine interfaces (HMI), sensors, motors, pneumatics, and electrical design. The position requires companywide interaction across engineering, service, vendors, and customers. This individual must possess critical thinking skills, self-management skills, and be highly communicative.

ย  ย  ย ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

  • Configure and implement existing control software for assigned projects
  • Support ongoing development of control software, sensors, motors, and electrical designs
  • Communicate with sales, service teams, and customers regarding projects, accessories, repairs, and technical support
  • Maintain and organize software archives
  • Document and archive new device and configuration changes
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving field or customer-reported issues as needed
  • Travel may exceed 25%
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation platforms and applications
  • Experience or exposure to:
    • Rockwell Studio 5000
    • FactoryTalk View ME
    • Web server component configurations
    • Firmware installations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic understanding of industrial automation systems and controls

EDUCATION AND QULIFICATIONS:
  • Four-year technical degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of PLC programming experience
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation applications preferred
