Job description

Job Title: Industrial Instrument Fitter Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Company Overview: Technical Diagnostic Services (TDS), a TechPro Power Group company, based in Fort Worth, TX, has been delivering industry-leading service solutions for over 25 years that empower its customers to safely start up and optimize the performance of their facilities' mechanical, electrical, and controls systems. TDS provides mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control construction, testing, and start-up and commissioning services to the Power Generation, Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical, Heavy Process, and other Industrial end markets.
We are a dynamic and rapidly growing company in search of skilled Industrial Instrument Fitters to join our team to support a large industrial construction project in Southeast Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Installing the necessary stainless/ carbon steel pipe and tube fitting for the plants I&C systems and related electrical equipment.
  • Assemble, construct, and install industrial instrumentation & related infrastructure that measures, controls, records, indicates, and transmits data according to specifications.
  • Safely use hand and power tools, metering equipment, and precision instruments.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects within defined timelines.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Instrumentation Fitter in an industrial environment with a focus on the assembly/ construction, and installation of heavy industrial instrumentation & controls equipment piping/ tubing.
  • Strong electrical aptitude, understanding of power systems and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites within the U.S.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:
  • Previous Instrument Fitting/ Pipefitting expertise within an Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical facility.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific electrical code, regulations, and/ or standards.

Project Details:
Project: Large LNG Processing & Terminal Facility- New Construction
Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Duration: 12-18+ months (could extend)
Schedule: 6-10's+
Shift: Dayshift
Pay-rate: $35-39/hr.
Overtime: Yes, 1.5 on all O/T hours
Per Diem: Yes, $130/day x 7 days per week
Start Date: Immediately

Physical Requirements:
This job involves both indoor and outdoor work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
  • Lift, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
  • Climb ladders, staircases, step stools, stand, walk, sit, and operate vehicles for extended periods.
  • Bend, stoop, crawl and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours.

The employee may occasionally be required to:
