CDL Class A Entry Level Truck Driver
Job Description:
We are seeking an Entry Level Truck Driver to join our team in Gainesville, GA. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL and a passion for driving. This position is perfect for someone looking to start their career in the transportation industry.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive alone with an experienced driver to transport Beverages to retail accounts
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
  • Assist the delivery driver in unloading products from the delivery vehicle
  • Daily verify delivery load with company load sheet
  • Ensure that all products are properly secured and protected during transportation
  • Assist the delivery driver in navigating to the delivery location using GPS or other navigation tools
  • Provide excellent customer service by delivering the company products to retail stores in a friendly and professional manner
  • Stack retail accounts shelves with company products daily
  • Report any delivery issues or concerns to the delivery driver or supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the delivery driver or supervisor
  • Ensure compliance with all company/retailer policies and procedures
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL license
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good physical condition and stamina
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent prefer
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy packages and goods
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work during holidays
  • Must be able to obtain an Alcohol Permit
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of walking and driving.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
