Systems & Infrastructure Engineer (SCADA / Power)
Location: Tucker, GA (Fully Onsite to Start Hybrid)
Salary: $130,000 - $138,000
Overview
We're looking for a Systems & Infrastructure Engineer (Levels II-IV preferred) to join our Power Technology Group-a mission-critical team supporting operational technology (OT) environments that power grid infrastructure.
We will also consider Level V candidates with strong power/SCADA expertise.
This is not a shared services team-you'll work directly within an environment that supports SCADA systems, substations, and plant operations.
Work Schedule
  • First 8-12 weeks: Fully onsite (5 days/week)
  • After onboarding: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 remote)
What You'll Do
This team manages physical server environments on the OT side, supporting systems that:
  • Host SCADA platforms
  • Enable secure remote access to critical infrastructure
  • Collect and process real-time data from substations and power plants

At a high level, this is a server administration role with a strong security and compliance focus, working closely with cybersecurity teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and support on-prem server infrastructure
  • Maintain systems that interface with SCADA and power environments
  • Support secure data flow from field devices (plants, substations)
  • Execute and document changes following strict change management processes
  • Collect and upload evidence for compliance tracking
  • Collaborate with internal security teams (NERC CIP-aligned environments)
Required Skills
VMware administration
Windows Server administration
Red Hat Linux experience
Strong understanding of change management processes
Ability to follow defined procedures and compliance workflows

Nice to Have
Ansible (automation / playbooks)
Utilities or power industry background
Exposure to NERC CIP (not required, will be trained)
Environment & Team
  • Team size: 6 engineers
  • 100% on-prem (no cloud environment)
  • Heavy focus on security and compliance
  • Key gaps today: Red Hat Linux + Ansible expertise
Compensation Notes
  • Targeting Level II-IV candidates within budget
  • Level V candidates considered if they bring strong SCADA/power experience
  • Salary range is firm at $130K-$138K, with limited flexibility above
Why This Role?
  • Work directly on critical infrastructure systems
  • Gain exposure to SCADA and power grid technologies
  • Be part of a high-impact, security-focused engineering team
  • Opportunity to grow into automation (Ansible) and compliance expertise
