SECURITY ANALYST

Our Security Operations solutions leverage years of information security experience to protect critical network infrastructure from the growing number of cyber threats.

5ironCyber’s Security Operations Center (SOC) is located in Franklin, Tennessee and all security operations are run from this facility. Our goal is more than notification—Our goal is response and resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Answering incoming phone calls and move them into the service process
  • Assist in monitoring alerts and logs, triaging tickets and events, working SOC I tickets and escalating if necessary
  • Complete tasks assigned to SOC I analysts as detailed in 5ironCyber runbooks
  • Review all incoming ticket to ensure no tickets are left without a response
  • Develop a working knowledge of all tools managed by 5ironCyber
  • Escalate tickets, issues, alerts to respective parties as outlined in runbooks
  • Develop security skillset based on business requirements and personal ability through continuing education and certification training
  • Generate required client reporting as directed by the SOC Manager
  • Complete projects and tasks as assigned
  • Participate in time keeping (JIRA, Tempo, etc.)
  • Reports to the SOC Manager
  • REQUIREMENTS
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Strong interest in cybersecurity and willingness to learn in a fastpaced environment
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g. IP, DNS, ports, protocols)
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Familiarity with security tools (e.g. SIEM, EDR, Firewalls, ticketing platforms)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and work in a teambased environment
  • Flexibility to work shiftbased schedules
