Job description

Job Brief: Nurse Practitioner, Hem/Onc
The hem/onc nurse practitioner will provide independent, direct, and specialized care to patients with oncologic and hematologic disorders. Performs physical examinations, focuses on symptom management for patients while undergoing therapy and provides ongoing follow-up for survivors. Assists with inbox and infusion coverage and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members.

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) is one of Georgia's largest independent, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical groups. More than 700 physicians and 300 associate practitioners work together in a unique integrated care model to provide high-quality care to Kaiser Permanente members. Care is delivered across 40+ specialties at 26 medical offices featuring state-of-the-art equipment, labs, imaging services, and pharmacies. What You Can Expect:
• Full-time employment
• A set patient schedule
• Cover chemotherapy infusion
• Assist with inbox coverage
  • Provides new patient and follow up care for oncology and hematology patients in acute and ambulatory patient settings. Assess and diagnose patients, formulate, and implement treatment plans, address complex medical conditions.
  • Collaborates with physician(s) and other interdisciplinary team (IDT) members to manage medical needs of patients by performing exam and providing follow-up care.
  • Evaluates medical conditions and issues appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic orders.
  • Develop and participate in patient survivorship programs.

Minimum Requirements:
• Master's degree in nursing
• Graduate from a registered NP program
• Certification as NP-C, PA-C, CNM, etc.
• Current DEA
• ACLS
• Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the State of Georgia
• One full-time year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience
• 4 to 6 years of NP Oncology experience, preferred
• Excellent procedure skills, especially with bone marrow biopsy and aspiration, preferred
• Thorough and working knowledge of chemotherapy, preferred
