SALES ASSOCIATE
General Description:
If you are looking to start your sales career in sports, and want to learn, grow and achieve greatness, the Houston Rockets are here to help. This is an entry level position focused on generating new business through outbound phone calls and face to face meetings with local corporations and fans. Throughout your opportunity you will be trained and coached to hit sales goals and our top performers will be considered for growth opportunities within Clutch City Sports & Entertainment. The Inside Sales program's main objective is to prepare you for a career in sports sales within the Houston Rockets organization and create future industry leaders.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • Sell a full menu of ticket products for the Houston Rockets via cold outbound phone calls and face to face meetings. Including, but not limited, to full and partial ticketing packages, group tickets and premium hospitality packages.
  • Solicitation of corporations and group organizations for the purpose of generating new business revenue
  • Set and complete out of office sales meetings as well as conduct arena meetings to close new business
  • Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual individual performance goals.
  • Maintain, manage and record assigned accounts' correspondence in Salesforce CRM system.
  • Manage assigned business accounts to maximize potential revenue
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and all Houston Rockets home games to include prospecting appointments, sales tables and game events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Highly motivated and strong desire to build a sales career in sports.
  • Strong work ethic, competitive, coachable and a positive attitude
  • Qualified candidates will be comfortable making outbound phone calls
  • Present themselves in a professional manner and able to interact with all levels of the Houston Rockets organization.
  • Candidates must be flexible with their work schedule
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle, or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
  • The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
  • The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
  • The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
