You will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. You will also effectively and pragmatically manage legal risks.The work model for the role is hybrid in Eastern/Central US time zone. You should be available for travel to customer meetings and to ABB offices. #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Process Industries division of the ABB Automation business area in the United States. Main stakeholders are sales, project management, supply chain, functions etc. in the Pulp, Paper & Fiber, Metals & Power Conversion and Materials & Mining business lines.You will be mainly accountable for:Reviewing and negotiating contracts, drafting commercial agreements and other contractual terms in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders and team members, and collaborating with contract management.Monitoring legal affairs, including but not limited to litigations and activity reports and occupying a seat at the table on local strategic business matters.Ensuring good corporate governance (including structuring, drafting, and negotiation) in your area of accountability within the country, with respect to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) / divestiture transactions.Supporting in anticipating future business and legal opportunities and challenges and developing appropriate strategies to address them.Our team dynamicsOur high performing, dynamic and talented teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Law firm experience and In-house experience preferred.You are at ease communicating in English.
