What does an entry level HVAC tech do?

An entry level HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) tech assists with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and cooling systems in residential and commercial buildings. Their duties often include cleaning and replacing filters, checking system components, performing basic troubleshooting, and helping more experienced technicians with complex tasks. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level HVAC tech?

To thrive as an Entry Level HVAC Tech, you need a basic understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning principles, often backed by a vocational certificate or completion of an apprenticeship.
