POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Intern is an entry-level internship position that provides hands-on exposure and support to the growth initiatives of The SF Companies' Human Resources department. The HR Intern will be an administrative partner to our field venues, Support Center, and Human Resources Team, assisting with day-to-day HR operations while gaining practical experience in a professional HR setting.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Assist team members with basic HR-related requests and/or information; help answer questions and/or route concerns to the appropriate HR team member in a timely manner.
  • Support data entry within our HRIS system under supervision, including employment record maintenance such as address changes and other routine updates.
  • Assist in supporting recruitment processes through our ATS, including posting jobs, reviewing applicants at a high level, and scheduling interviews.
  • Help with onboarding functions such as preparing new hire paperwork, assisting with I-9 verification steps, and entering new team members into our HRIS system under guidance
  • Complete HR administrative tasks such as maintaining departmental org charts, preparing simple correspondence, organizing HR-related events (onboarding sessions, social events, work anniversaries, recognition activities, etc.)
  • Provide backup support to the front desk as needed, including greeting visitors and directing calls in a professional manner
  • Perform any other job-related duties and special projects as assigned to support the HR team and to enhance learning opportunities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current enrollment in, or recent completion of, an associate or bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Highly professional, organized, and detail oriented
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset and willingness to assist team members
  • Solutions-oriented approach with a desire to learn and grow within the Human Resources field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and small projects with appropriate guidance and minimal supervision

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
  • Working environment is fast paced and team oriented
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds infrequently
  • Limited exposure to physical risk
  • Limited physical effort required
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, with a hybrid of computer-based tasks and in-person interactions
