Housekeeping Team Member
Position Overview
Round Lake Christian Camp is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our Housekeeping Team. This is a part-time, hourly position averaging approximately 15-30 hours per week.
The Housekeeping Team Member helps provide clean, welcoming, and well-maintained facilities for campers, volunteers, retreat guests, and staff. This position is responsible for cleaning lodging areas, bathrooms, meeting spaces, and other camp facilities. The ideal candidate will pay close attention to detail, work well independently, and demonstrate a willingness to serve others in a Christian camp environment.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms, dormitories, cabins, bathrooms, showers, meeting rooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, and clean windows and other surfaces.
  • Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, countertops, and frequently touched surfaces.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
  • Make beds and replace linens when needed.
  • Collect, wash, dry, fold, organize, and distribute camp linens and cleaning materials.
  • Restock paper products, soap, toiletries, and other housekeeping supplies.
  • Prepare facilities before camper, guest, and retreat-group arrivals.
  • Clean and reset facilities following departures.
  • Inspect assigned areas and report damage, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or missing supplies.
  • Safely use cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment according to provided instructions.
  • Maintain clean and organized housekeeping closets and storage areas.
  • Track supplies and communicate restocking needs to the supervisor.
  • Follow camp procedures regarding sanitation, safety, lost-and-found items, and guest belongings.
  • Assist with occasional deep-cleaning and seasonal projects.
  • Complete other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Previous housekeeping, custodial, or cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
  • Training will be provided to individuals with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
