Material Handler
 
Pay: $16.00 – Paid Weekly
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts (1-Week: work 4-Days and 2-Week: work 3-Days)
  • Day Shift is 6am to 6:30pm
  • Night Shift is 6pm to 6:30am
This is a an entry-level, contract to hire position.
EG Workforce Solutions is immediately hiring Material Handlers at Shippers Automotive Group in Battle Creek, MI. Shippers (SAG) is a third-party logistics provider committed to care for, manage, handle, direct, and control of DENSO’s products. Our Material Handler position is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of products in the warehouse, as well as the processing of all supporting paperwork and electronic processes in the performance of duties.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities safely and in the manner prescribed by supervisory management
  • Unload and load products into and out of the warehouse manually or with the aid of lift equipment. 
    • Be able to accurately put products away to assigned locations, and be able to pick accurate quantities of products for directed locations
  • Be able to read and understand all supporting paperwork, such as Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Pick Sheets, and product description labels
    • Be able to complete all paperwork necessary to support required material handling activities
  • Be able to efficiently operate assigned equipment needed for performing assigned duties.
    • Assigned equipment may include such items as bar code scanners, PC computers, forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet jacks
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in warehouse, material handling or forklift is preferred but not required
  • Ability to pick and put away product 20-25 feet in the air
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8+ hours
