Job description

United Weld Holdings has an exciting opportunity available for a Material Services Technician to be an integral part of our Materials team.  You'll have an opportunity to work on a wide range of projects on a national and global scale. We can meet you at any skill level, whether you are just starting your career or have years of experience under your belt.

 WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Transmit inventory releases to fabrication shops
  • Perform material take-offs from isometrics or run IDF/PCF files for obtain a bill of material extract
  • Perform various checks to ensure accuracy
  • Build and maintain project specifications in drafting software in accordance with project documentation
  • Associate transfer requisitions with inventory transfers or submit requisitions for non-transferable material
  • Process revision spools from engineering
  • Process new spool releases from engineering when necessary
  • Release spools short to the fabrication shop
  • Perform short report actions
  • Perform substitutions in J.D Edwards and redline sketches to show the change
  • Create ship loose spools
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
