Job description

The Hazmat Tanker Driver operates company fleet vehicles to transport hazardous materials safely and efficiently. Reporting to a supervisor, this role focuses on dedicated routes with daily returns to base, ensuring compliance with safety standards and proper handling of hazardous goods.

Responsibilities

  • Transport hazardous materials following all safety and regulatory guidelines
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
  • Load and unload tanker safely while adhering to hazardous materials handling protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to cargo and delivery
  • Comply with all company and governmental safety regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training is available
  • Entry-level experience in hazardous materials transportation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and tank vehicle operation
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
